"BREAKING: Miley Cyrus is now the heavy favorite to headline the Super Bowl halftime show next season, according to Polymarket. That would be awesome!" NFL reporter Dov Kleiman fueled the conversation on X.

Betting markets like Polymarket now confidently place Miley ahead of other mega pop stars like Taylor Swift for the SoFi Stadium gig.

She has bypassed the heavily rumored trio of Karol G, Camila Cabello, and Becky G to dominate the latest Super Bowl LXI predictions.

“I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure," Cyrus told Variety on May 18. "But if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is — I think I could find it in myself.” 

Miley Cyrus originally skyrocketed to global fame starring as the beloved Disney Channel icon Hannah Montana. She literally defined a generation before actively stepping away from that specific clean-cut television image.

Since then, she has cemented her status as a global pop icon. Her transition into dropping massive, chart-topping global hits like "Wrecking Ball", "Party In The U.S.A.", and Grammy-winning "Flowers" has proven her in the tough music scene.

Fans React to Miley Cyrus Taking the Center Stage on Super Bowl LXI

Taking on the Super Bowl stage is terrifying. Just look at Bad Bunny's performance, a highly debated halftime show. But as Kleiman posted the news on X, fans rushed to express their disapproval.

"If it’s true, it will be another half time show I will skip," a fan wrote.

Fans also took a shot at Kleiman, marking the news as "awesome."

"How would this be awesome?? She’s terrible!" a fan commented.

"It would be the exact opposite of awesome," another wrote.

Some fans feel the NFL is using the halftime show as a marketing tool to attract non-traditional audiences, specifically targeting women over the core sports fanbase.

"So its clear that the halftime show is never for actually nfl fans. Is this just to try and get more women to watch?" wrote another.

Super Bowl halftime shows have created a massive cultural impact globally, yet faced intense scrutiny from traditional viewers, showing exactly how tough balancing this massive sporting audience really is.
