NFL Expert Silences Sheduer Sanders Arguments with Major 2026 Claim

Shedeur's quarterback has divided fans and critics since his debut in Week 11, and now many are asking one question: Will Shedeur Sanders retain his position as the opening quarterback in 2026?

While Sanders put up a historic display against the Titans in Week 14 with 364 passing yards and four total TDs, his overall season hasn't been great. Sanders has won just one of his six games, but Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show's Garrett Bush believes Sanders is here to stay.

Bush claimed that Shedeur Sanders is the obvious choice as the Browns’ starting quarterback next season. “Sheduer Sanders is the clear favorite to start for Browns in 2026!” Bush captioned an episode of his show, The Barbershop.

During the show, Bush even pulled up a clip of former Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade, talking favorably about Sander. In the clip, the former NBA star explained his fondness for Shedeur Sanders.

"They try to turn him against his coach every time they can. I love how he would not allow anyone to turn him against anybody," said Wade. Bush explained that Wade's words proved just how many people support Sanders.

"This is wild. It cannot be denied…they can’t. The movement is global," added Bush. So, it begs the question...

How Popular is Shedeur Sanders Exactly?

In the Week 15 game against the Bills, Sanders had injured a finger. He left the game briefly to seek medical attention and was replaced by fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.

Browns fans in the stadium started booing Gabriel. Many believe they were targeting coach Kevin Stefanski, too.

Meanwhile, in an article published on Thursday, Sean Denevey of Heavy wrote that according to insider Mary Kay Cabot, “Sanders is 'trending' toward securing a spot as, at least, the Browns’ 2026 frontrunner at quarterback.”

Cabot, on the show 93.2 The Fan, stated that Shedeur Sanders can sway the media with his persona. She raised concerns about how other draft picks might be perceived after the incident in the Bills’ games.

"He brings with him something big and powerful that would be difficult to deal with if you were trying to throw all of your support behind a No. 1 pick. I don’t think you could ignore the fact that he’s larger than life in so many ways," added Cabot.

In six games, the 23-year-old has scored six touchdowns for 1,103 yards. Although he threw eight interceptions, he improved the team’s average passing yards from 169.5 to 189.5. With the Browns taking on the Steelers Sunday night, Shedeur Sanders has another chance to prove his mettle.
