Shedeur Sanders has kept the NFL world talking ever since he debuted. He has started two games, played three, and recorded a passer rating of 69.4 with 405 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Yet he will once again be opening the game against the Titans, and Ken Carman of 92.3 The Fan feels this could be the answer to what everybody is asking. 

He feels that this start will tell us if Sanders is a franchise QB or not. “I think style points are gonna count to the Browns fans out there on Sunday. If Shedeur Sanders plays well and they win, I think people will be excited; if they lose, people will be upset. If he plays like he’s been playing the last two games and they win, I think we are going to have a conversation,” he said.

Now this is one game where everyone would be accepting a better performance from the QB than his previous ones. The Titans are one of the worst team in the season so far, with only one win to their name and a very struggling defense. Add to that 218.3 passing yards and Shedeur can have a field day.

Now, through his first three games, Sanders has 135 passing yards/g, but the fans would like him to touch 200 at least against the Titans.

And if he fails in doing so, then just like Carman said, "If Shedeur plays well and they win, it's going to be like, hey, can he be the guy? If he doesn’t play well and they lose …we are going to talk about Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore.”

Both of them are college footballers whom the Browns could look up to for a franchise QB in the 2026 draft. But amidst all this assessment, a Browns legend has stood by his side. 

Shedeur Sanders Has Hanford Dixon’s Support 

For the unversed, Dixon played cornerback for the Browns from 1977 to 1986 and was one of the premier defensive backs of his era. He made four Pro Bowl appearances and was a key part of the Browns’ strong defenses in the 1980s. Now, Dixon shared his thoughts on Sanders on BIGPLAY's The Top Dawgs Show, and he feels that he is their starting QB. 

"Guys, I got to tell you this, it was beautiful, beautiful 36-yard touchdown pass that Shedeur threw to (Harold) Fannin. Beautiful, beautiful pass that he threw. People can say what they want to say, and I'm going to tell you guys again. You watch and see what I tell you. That boy is the truth. He is going to be our starting quarterback,” he said. 

In the 8-26 loss to the 49ers, Sanders connected with Harold Fannin on a 34‑yard touchdown, and the team followed it with a successful 2‑point conversion. That specific play seems to have impressed the Browns legend. If we look at Shedeur Sanders’ performance, he sure has improved a bit from his first game.
