NFL Draft Rumors: Browns & Chiefs Among Teams Involved in Trade Discussions

The highly anticipated 2026 Draft is just three days away, and the Cleveland Browns seem to have an unforeseen strategy.
So far, fans and experts have made various guesses on how the Browns would use their No. 6 pick. And NFL insider Adam Schefter has an update about the slot.
According to Schefter, the Browns have been called to engage in trading picks. They are even open to giving away their selection if the right opportunity comes by.
A report by Jared Muller for Dawgs By Nature shared what could be going on behind the scenes.
“One year later, the Browns are already taking calls about the No. 6 pick, and sources said they’re open to moving it,” the report said. “Another move back would give the Browns more capital in a draft in which they are already scheduled to have nine picks, including Nos. 6 and 24 in the first round.”
Based on a report by Arrowhead Pride, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to “move up from the ninth overall selection if a prospect they want falls.”
While nothing is concrete, these reports suggest that there could be an outcome beneficial to both the franchises. The Browns hold the No. 6 overall pick, and the Chiefs’ first-round pick is slotted at No. 9 this year.
While the NFL draft is one of the most unpredictable weeks in the offseason, the Browns have had their fair share of trade rumors.
Chiefs Linked to No. 3 Pick Trade Up
As draft rumors heat up, Arrowhead Addict has thrown a bold scenario into the mix, linking the Kansas City Chiefs to a potential trade-up all the way to No. 3.
With the Arizona Cardinals reportedly open to moving back, the idea of Kansas City jumping into the top tier for an elite prospect is gaining traction, at least on paper.
The outlet broke down the cost using multiple draft value charts, and the numbers paint a brutal picture, one scenario demanding multiple premium picks, including both first-rounders, just to bridge the gap.
Even the more “reasonable” model still forces Kansas City to sacrifice valuable top-40 capital, a steep price for a roster that has multiple needs.
In the end, Arrowhead Addict’s stance is clear: unless this move is for a franchise-altering talent, the risk simply outweighs the reward.
For a team not chasing a quarterback, paying that kind of premium could quickly turn from aggressive to reckless.
