NFL Divisional Playoffs Bills vs Broncos: Preview, What to Expect, Broadcasting Details, and Much More

The NFL Divisional Round kicks off with a heavyweight clash. The Denver Broncos (14-3) host the Buffalo Bills (12-5) in a rematch of last year's playoff showdown.

The Last Bills vs Broncos Game

The last time these two teams met was also in the playoffs last year. The teams met on January 12, 2025, at Highmark Stadium. The Bills ran away with the game in a dominant 31-7 win.

Josh Allen recorded a passer rating of 135.4 with 272 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the flip side, Bo Nix had a passer rating of 93.8 with 144 yards and 1 touchdown. He opened the scoring with a 43-yard touchdown pass to Troy Franklin, but after that Bills took control.

What are the head coaches saying?

Denver's HC, Sean Payton, stressed ton his quickness and decisiveness in decision-making over the Broncos' offense before heading into a tough game against the Bills.

"It was said as you get older, maybe you don’t drive in the rain at night. You begin to… I can’t let that happen as a play caller. That’s something that I have to mentally make sure it’s quick. It’s quick and decisive, and it’s daring at the right time."

Bills head coach Sean McDermott has addressed how good the Broncos' defense has been this year. They have led the league in sacks and have one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Patrick Surtain.

"We have to do a good as job as possible at managing what they do up front and what they do with their front combined with one of the top corners in the league, so it a really good defense. They play at a level where you have to make sure all of your assignments are in check."

Prediction

Back in 2024, Broncos head coach Sean Payton had one thing to say about the matchup. "We have to find a way to play these games at home."

Well, he has his wish. But is it going to be a factor against the Buffalo Bills? Being on the road didn't faze them in Jacksonville, and it won't in Denver either.

Josh Allen is in incredible form, and with the star QB off the injury report, we're going to see another stellar performance from him. The Bills will steamroll through the Broncos just as last time and move ahead in the playoffs.
