We are one foot inside Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season and several things are brewing. Daniel Jones' injury has an update, Sanders has some words before his big game and an contract extension as well. And the big question though - will Jones play ?

Daniel Jones Set to Make Colts Return

After week 11, Jones was limited in practice with what was first reported as a calf injury and later clarified as a fibula issue, not just a calf. Despite that, he fully participated in practice the next day, and Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced his availability on Sunday. 

“You guys saw Daniel was on the injury report yesterday. He felt some discomfort in practice," Steichen explained. "We thought it was a calf. We went back and reevaluated it. It was actually a fibula. But he was a full participant in practice today, and he'll be ready to go for Sunday."

So it does look like Jones is going to be facing the Chiefs.

Nate Landman Inks New Deal

Nate Landman was signed by the Rams in March this year on a $1.1 million contract for one season contract but now both parties have agreed upon a three-year contract extension worth $22.5 million and $15.6 million guaranteed. He has had 44 solo tackles, 47 assists, 1.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries in 10 games this season, something the impressed the Rams to keep him.

Shedeur Sander Facing Butterflies?

Sanders is about to start his very first game in the NFL, and he might be nervous. In an interview he said, “Well, first, I know our fans have a lot of expectations and hope, and I would be doing a disservice to myself and disservice to the organization if I didn’t feel like I am the guy, I did everything I need to — I’m doing everything I need to prepare to be the best version of myself as possible. With the circumstances, everything got me sped up, and that’s great — you know, I like pressure in life. I’m just excited for everything.” 

With Gabriel ruled out due to concussion protocol, Shedeur Sanders will start the game against the Raiders. He has already made his debut against the Ravens with a stat line of 4-of-16 passing, 47 yards, 1 interception, 2 sacks, and also rushed 3 times for 16 yards and fumbled once on a sack, not a great performance, but the Raiders are a weaker team, and he should be able to perform better.
