NFL Analyst Urges Browns to Secure Joey Bosa Trade to Help Myles Garrett

An NFL analyst has a bold solution for the Cleveland Browns: trade for Joey Bosa. With Myles Garrett's future in Cleveland unconfirmed, pairing him with another elite pass-rusher could be the key to shoring up their defensive line.
"Prioritizing the need for two elite and consistent pass rushers for each side of the line is becoming the norm for NFL teams," Aidan Chacon-Hapkinson wrote.
With Garrett's contract bonuses restructured, various NFL teams have been linked to the elite pass-rusher, including a potential homecoming with the Dallas Cowboys.
"It's not enough to only have Myles Garrett racking up 23 sacks in a season. Garrett should be paired with someone who doesn't need a lot of coaching or mentoring. Investing $10 to $12 million on a player like former Ohio State Buckeye Joey Bosa." Chacon also mentioned.

Chacon's push for the trade is understandable given Myles Garrett's dominant 2025 season, where he recorded 23 sacks, 60 tackles, and three forced fumbles.
His historic 23 NFL-record-breaking sacks last season speak for themselves, but at age 30, there are no guarantees of consistent output.
That being said, Joey Bosa himself secured five Pro Bowl selections and won the 2016 Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The Bills player recorded 5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles last year.
The Browns' failed attempt to sign AJ Epenesa, a deal that collapsed after his physical, makes Bosa an even more relevant option, especially since Cleveland could structure his contract around incentives given his injury history.
A new beginning at the side of one of the better defenders in the league could extend Bosa's career for the better.
Joey Bosa Market Heats Up With 49ers in the Picture
The San Francisco 49ers have the reunion angle working in their favor, with Nick Bosa potentially returning from an ACL injury for the 2026 opener, but their wallet may be the biggest obstacle.
The 49ers face financial limitations that prevent them from signing high-profile players, according to GM John Lynch.
The 49ers already signed Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Dre Greenlaw, and Osa Odighizuwa this offseason, which makes their current spending situation a material issue.
Gilberto Manzano of SI.com is still of the opinion that the 49ers are biding their time.
"Maybe San Francisco is waiting to see whether it lands a top edge rusher in the draft," Manzano wrote.
Manzano expects Bosa to be pursued heavily after the draft, as his recent performance in Buffalo has significantly increased his market value.
For now, only time will tell where Joey Bosa lands, with the Browns as well as the 49ers making good candidates for the 30-year-old. Read more at the Cleveland Browns Community!
