NFC Championship Preview Rams vs Seahawks: Preview, Predictions, Odds, Broadcasting Details & All You Need to Know

Jan 21, 2026, 11:51 AM CUT

The Los Angeles Rams are coming to Seattle for the NFC Championship game. The Rams have a chance to avenge their Week 15 loss and make it to the Super Bowl. The stakes couldn't be higher for both sides!

The Last Rams vs Seahawks Game

The last time these two teams collided was in Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season. The Rams had a big lead late in the 4th quarter, but Seattle mounted a comeback and forced overtime and won the game 38-37.

This will be the first time in history that these two teams meet in an NFC Championship game, but they have met in the postseason before. However, the narrative is different in the postseason, where the Seahawks have never defeated the Rams. The one in 2005 ended with a 20-27 score, and the one in 2021 ended with 20-30.

What Are the Head Coaches Saying?

Rams head coach Sean McVay discussed the atmosphere heading into the NFC Championship game.

“We’re excited about it. Those are the moments you feel the most alive as a competitor, and we got to go handle it against a freaking d*** good football team. But wouldn’t expect anything less in the NFC championship if you expect to advance to a Super Bowl.”

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has credited his team’s collective effort across the season and praised the coaching staff as well.

“I don’t think I’d been standing here right now talking to you guys if our team hasn’t decided to play with that type of effort, and that’s really all three phases,” Macdonald said. “So that’s a decision that they’ve made that they want to play to, and I think our coaching staff has done a great job of showing them why and developing.”

Prediction

The Seahawks have not had a defeat in the past eight games, with the last three of those all coming by double-digits against NFC playoff teams.

But the Rams come with an 8-2 ATS record over the last 10 games against the Seahawks. Plus, they are 4-2 at Seattle over the last six games. The last time they met, Matthew Stafford had over 457 yards and three touchdowns.

Given his incredible playoff form (500+ passing yards and three touchdowns), the Rams will take the win.
