The drama between the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk refuses to die down. Now, Aiyuk’s latest social media post has sparked fresh buzz, with many wondering whether it offers a telling clue about the next chapter of his career.

Aiyuk fueled fresh speculations with his recent social media post, sharing clips of himself dancing in a white robe, with a caption that read.

“Coming to an endzone near 🫵!!”

Of course, Aiyuk could simply be soft-launching a new touchdown celebration for a future team; however, nothing is certain as of now. Over the last five days, the wide receiver has posted two videos seemingly aimed at the Niners.

In one video posted on Instagram, Aiyuk called the 49ers “stupid” and “dumb” for allowing him to pocket $48.15 million from his 2024 deal. He also predicted that he’d be with a new team next year.

The relationship between the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk fell apart in public, and its breakdown can be traced back to 2023. The Wide-Receiver played an important role in San Francisco’s run to Super Bowl LVIII. His 51-yard reception in the final drive was crucial to the 49ers' Super Bowl LVIII win

Following that season, he wanted a contract that reflected his elite production. However, San Francisco explored trade options with the Browns and Patriots, only for the star receiver to reject both destinations.

Since then, the relationship between the 49ers and Aiyuk has been crumbling bit by bit, and it appears to have reached its limit. 

The 49ers' general manager, John Lynch, made a statement back in January 2026 that cemented Aiyuk won’t be with the team for long.

“I think it’s safe to say that he’s played his last snap with the 49ers,” as published by The San Francisco Standard.

That said, the fans had a field day after his recent post went viral.

One fan compared Aiyuk’s antics to those of former Buccaneers WR Antonio Brown, who was also known for his dancing videos and unpredictable online presence: “Looks like the next coming of Antonio Brown.”

Another fan suggested this might be a tactic from Aiyuk, 

“He’s trying so hard to p*** off management and hope they release him. BA gets tested for CTE and realizes that Lynch is in this stalemate for the long haul. The 49ers are setting a precedent for the rest of the NFL.”

This may very well be the case as Aiyuk is actively throwing dirt on the 49ers' brand.

One fan opined, “He is doing everything he can to ensure no other team than Washington will want him. He already has an agreement with them, probably told them he’ll be acting like a fool till then.”

This comment has some backing, as is evident from his Instagram. Aiyuk follows only 5 accounts, and one of them is the Washington Commanders’ official account.

Another fan expressed hope that a move could be imminent,“Hopefully he’s in Washington reworking his deal so we can get a late round pick for him.”

“Has he released even 1 training video? He’s showing nobody he’s even preparing to play. He just wants the check, he’s so immature,” said another fan expressing his disappointment with the WR.
