Myles Garrett Speaks Out on Kevin Stefanski Amid Future Uncertainty

Myles Garrett is doing a defensive job on and off the field. After beating the Steelers, he came to coach Kevin Stefanski's rescue as questions turned towards the Browns' head coach.

“We fight for each other. I mean, that’s everybody. I don’t think they’re fighting so hard because of me. I don’t think they’re fighting so hard because of Kevin. We fight because we have each other. This is a brotherhood. You don't get a second chance at this.”

That spirit was clear against the Steelers. By the end of the first quarter, the Browns took a 10-point lead. They managed to hold the Steelers without a touchdown for the rest of the game, managing only field goals.

More importantly for Kevin Stefanski and the rest of the team, it meant they would not go down the same road as last season, toward a 3-14 record. This unity is something even Stefanski appreciated.

"We have a bunch of good teammates on this team, and sometimes you gotta pick your teammates up off the ground. Sometimes you gotta push your teams – you gotta be there in a bunch of different ways to get the best out of each other. That includes supporting your teammates when you’re going through something. And sometimes that’s on the field, sometimes it’s off the field, but you gotta be there for your teammates."

But how will things shake out for Kevin Stefanski after this?

Stefanski is clearly in hot water. While the 4-12 record is progress, there's still talk of him losing his job for the upcoming season. However, the head coach made one thing clear.

“Yeah, as you can imagine, my sole focus is on this game versus Cincinnati, but I also would tell you I’m privileged to have this job.”

And for now, it doesn't look like he's thinking about what will happen after this season. "I never get into those types of discussions. All I care about is finding a way to go 1-0 versus the Bengals."
