Thanks to that breakout month, Garrett now has 19 sacks this season, and he’s on pace to break the single-season sack record. Every game, he finds a new way to ruin an offense’s game plan. But Garrett isn’t the only Browns defender making headlines. Rookie linebacker Carson Schwesinger has been turning heads all year long, and now the NFL has noticed, too. Schwesinger has been named Defensive Rookie of the Month for November, a huge achievement for a player who’s barely halfway through his first season.

Over the past four games, Schwesinger has led the charge with 39 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and half a sack. He’s also the only defensive rookie in the league to record at least one tackle for loss in each of those games. That kind of consistency is rare for any player, let alone a rookie. The Browns found something special in him.

So far this season, Schwesinger leads all NFL rookies with 106 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, and he’s second in interceptions with 2. Those stats make him one of the top young defenders in football and a strong favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year. If he keeps playing at this level, that award might already have his name on it.

For the Browns, these awards mean more than just recognition; they show that something powerful is building in Cleveland. With Garrett dominating up front and Schwesinger rising fast behind him, the Browns’ defense is becoming the heart and identity of this team. Opponents are learning that there’s no easy way past these two.
