Ahead of their Week 15 game, Caleb Williams told the media he felt confident about facing the 2025 leader in sacks, Myles Garrett.

In turn, Myles Garrett has now dropped his perspective on facing the Bears QB.

“He has great peripherals. A lot of times he looks like his eyes are downfield, and he spins out of a sack, ducks out of one. When you see a guy like that, it gives you a little bit of Lamar, a little bit of Pat, as far as how he moves and navigates through the pocket. Just able to skip out unscathed and then looking downfield, making those big plays. We gotta make him look a little bit more ordinary on Sunday."

Throughout the season, Williams has managed the pass rush well. He's only been sacked 20 times this season. And with just four games left, he could keep it below 30, just as Lamar Jackson did in 2019 (23 sacks) when he became MVP.

And it's not just staying safe in the pocket. Williams has delivered 22 scrimmage touchdowns (19 passing and 3 rushing). He can be a real threat to the Browns. With 6 touchdowns scored in the last 3 games and rookie left tackle Ozzy Trapilo joining the offensive line, Garrett may have a tough time getting enough sacks in.

But Myles Garrett isn't chasing sack numbers

Garrett stands on the cusp of making history and passing the single-season sack record (22.5). It would be a sweet bonus to defending against Williams. However, it's not all about the numbers.

"I don’t even think about it. How do we get to the next one? It’s all my mind can handle right now. What’s the next one look like? What are the options looking like? And how do we get them and where we want them.” 

He’s well on his way to breaking Michael Stranahan and T.J. Watt's record back in 2021. But with only 4 games left for the Browns this season, will he be able to reach number 25? Let us know what you think in the comments!
