Myles Garrett Crowned Undisputed King After Browns Star Earns Unanimous All-Pro
Myles Garrett's thrilling season of chasing down a sack record has earned him a place among the best players in the league’s history.
Now, one more recognition has come his way for a perfect end to his season. Garrett has been honored as an All-Pro for the fifth time in his nine-year career.
AP announced that he was crowned All-Pro unanimously by a panel of 50 US media members.
Garrett, a nightmare for his opponents and their coaches, proved he deserves the labels “game wrecker” and “Spiderman.” This season, he was the league leader for tackles with 33 for loss and made 39 quarterback hits.
While the Browns remained dysfunctional overall, Garrett, the first overall pick of 2017, was at his physical best. His season-best performance came against the mighty New England Patriots, where he made six solo sacks.
Now, he is the first player to make 12+ sacks in six consecutive seasons since 1982. Garrett was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 for his 14-sack performance, making him the first Browns player to have won that award.
The Browns' Reaction to Garrett’s Season
In week 18 against the Bengals, the 30-year-old sacked Joe Burrow in the final minutes of the game to record his 23rd sack of the season and a personal milestone.
He surpassed legendary player Michael Strahan and Steelers’ competitor T.J. Watt to become the player with the most sacks in a single season.
Former head coach Kevin Stefanski was in awe of Garrett’s Burrow sack. He would’ve voted Garrett MVP if he could’ve.

“That’s history. He’s the sack king. That’s unbelievable. They’ve been playing this game for a long time, and for him to go get that in the circumstances with the degree of difficulty in which he got it this season is unbelievable.”
“He’s the Defensive Player of the Year. You can make him the MVP if I had a vote,” he said.
Teammates Joel Bitonio and Grant Delpit also chimmed in and gushed over Garrett’s feat.
While left guard Bitonio called Garret the “Best player in the world,” Delpit, the Browns’ safety, said, "I think he's going to be the greatest of all time when it's all said and done.”
Garrett was also destined for greatness. This season tested his and everybody’s patience and faith, surely, but there were no doubts over his abilities.
As Garrett said himself, it was a matter of ‘when’ and ‘if.’
