Maxx Crosby's Agent Breaks Silence on Failed Ravens Trade & Shares Injury Update

Mar 11, 2026, 3:29 AM CUT

The Las Vegas Raiders dealt Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round picks. However, as of two hours ago, that trade fell through, and now, Crosby’s agent has chimed in.

ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that the trade failed because the Ravens backed out after Maxx Crosby failed his physical. However, Crosby's agent has already addressed any concerns about the player's health.

The post read, “Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery, and if anything, is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache.” Crosby’s agent, CJ LaBoy, posted on X.

LaBoy added, “Maxx remains on track during the offseason program and will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past seven seasons.”

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders didn't disclose the reason on their social media post. “The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time,” they wrote.

The elite pass rusher and five-time Pro Bowler battled through a knee injury during the 2025 season and played through most of it. He had surgery to repair his knee in early January.

Maxx Crosby himself posted about his recovery in January, saying, “I know I’ll be back in June, around that time, fully, so yeah, we’ve got a long road ahead.”

As of now, the Ravens have declined to comment on the situation.

Could the Dallas Cowboys be back in for Maxx Crosby?

The Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones were big admirers of the five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher. They did engage in trade talks, but were not willing to offer the two first-round picks that Las Vegas was after.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero believes the Cowboys could take another shot. "I am told the Dallas Cowboys would still be interested in a Maxx Crosby trade," said the reporter.

There is no doubt that Crosby is an elite defender and a leader. Yet on the flip side, The Athletic's Dianna Russini posted that, "the Dallas Cowboys are not expected to re-engage."

The question is now that the whole dynamic has changed, will the Raiders have to make compromises if they decide to trade the defender?
