Major Takeaways from the Browns' Humiliating Defeat to the Bears in Game Week 15

The Chicago Bears’ 31-3 Sunday victory against the Cleveland Browns clarified that the team is focused on winning.
"We're onto the next one," Johnson said. "Ten is great, but it's not enough." The Bears face the Green Bay Packers next, after losing 21- 28 to them on 8 December. Does their performance against the Browns indicate they are ready? Here are some key takeaways.
The Chicago Bears' focus is on the Packers
By the third quarter, the Bears had scored 21 points, the Browns only 3. Chicago fans began chanting against the Packers, clearly indicating all hopes are pinned on the Week 16 game. It's going to be a rematch of the 28-21 loss for the Bears.
It's no surprise, considering there are just three games left, and a win against the Packers might decide whether the Bears make it to the playoffs.
Jordan Love's team already proved they can go big against the Lions during the Thanksgiving weekend, and if they get a win against the Bears, Ben Johnson and his team will be in a tough place for the sixth playoff spot.
Was this Caleb Williams’ season-best performance?
Bears’ quarterback Williams used 17-of-28 attempted throws and covered 242 yards. He made two touchdowns and led the offense to cover 255 scrimmage yards.
In an X post, Journalist Kevin Fiahbain reported that with this matchup, “Williams now holds the NFL record for fewest interceptions in a QB’s first 1,000 career pass attempts (12).”
With just six interceptions in his second season, Williams has been incredible for the Bears. And he's making good on the trust the Bears showed by signing him as the number 1 draft pick. If he keeps this up, the Packers will be vulnerable next weekend.
DJ Moore’s Stellar Performance
After last weekend, it felt like a lot of fans lost trust in DJ Moore. He had just one reception on three targets, negative yardage, and no touchdowns. But all of that changed against the Browns.
Williams was throwing incredible passes and Moore caught the Browns sleeping. He caught two touchdowns, four passes for 69 yards. For his performance, coach Ben Johnson awarded Moore the game ball after the match.
"It’s just we haven’t been able to get the ball in his hands. We were able to target him a few more times, and he came through with some big plays for us," Johnson explained.
D’Marco Jackson Stepped Up
D’Marco Jackson was brought in as the fourth linebacker after Noah Sewell, TJ Edwards, and Tremaine Edmunds suffered significant injuries, and he's made the change count.
Jackson intercepted the Browns’ quarterback, Sheduer Sander, and defended Moore to catch the 22-yard touchdown. He got his first sack of the season on the Browns QB and looked like a threat throughout the game.
The Packers and Bears will play on 21 December next. Can the Bears win this one? What do you think?
