The rumors of the Browns being interested in Bill Belichick are taking a new turn.

Josina Anderson reported on X recently, "I'm told there's been recent interest expressed...in speaking with Bill Belichick."

While her source named no teams, Anderson, citing her understanding, said the Browns' upper-level personnel are fond of him.

Belichick is the same head coach who mentored Tom Brady for 20 years and won 6 Super Bowls together. If the Browns bring him back as their HC, then Sanders would be directly under his mentor's mentor because Brady mentored the former Colorado QB.

The most interesting part is that Sanders is on the same path as Tom Brady. The Browns picked him as the 14th overall in the 5th round. Just like the Patriots picked Brady as 199th overall in the 6th round. Plus, he has recorded 946 yards and 5 touchdowns in 5 games. The GOAT only had 670 yards and 2 touchdowns. 

But that's not the end of Tom Brady's support for Shedeur Sanders

Multiple experts had predicted Sanders to be a round 1 pick in the 2025 draft, but that did not happen. After no team picked Sanders on day 1, Brady texted him, “Dude, whatever happens, wherever you go, that’s your first day. Day 2 matters more than the draft.”

Later, Shedeur Sanders recorded a passer rating of 93.6 with 149 yards and 1 touchdown in the 8-26 loss to the 49ers. Critics came down hard on the QB, who was playing only his second starting game of the NFL. Tom Brady came to his support.

"I have watched every throw, every run, every time he stood back up after getting hit hard. Nobody understands the weight of carrying a whole team on your shoulders until they have done it themselves. Shedeur Sanders is fighting for an entire city. Nobody has the right to mock someone who continues to battle the way he does."
