Lamar Jackson Reportedly on his way out as Raiders Set Sight on Ravens Superstar
Lamar Jackson finished another disappointing season with the Baltimore Ravens. Now his future in Baltimore is in question.
He was injured for multiple weeks, and the team lost both the AFC North title and a playoff qualification spot. What’s even more embarrassing is that the 26-24 loss came against their rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in Week 18.
Amidst all the rumors about Jackson and the former head coach John Harbaugh’s fallout, an NFL executive, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, predicted that the Las Vegas Raiders might be interested in a trade move.
"It just seems like there's been some consternation there with Lamar and the Ravens, and this would be the ultimate Mark Davis move," the NFL personnel evaluator said to Fowler. "I'm not even convinced everybody with Vegas would be on board with it, but it would instantly solve their quarterback problems."

Baltimore, on the other hand, has made its intentions clear to keep the 2023 MVP. Owner Steve Bisciotti has also made it quite clear that he wants to get his contract negotiations done as soon as possible.
With Jackson’s future uncertain, the Raiders have a perfect opportunity to add an experienced quarterback. Unless they are aiming for a certain Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback in the no.1 draft pick.
Raiders to target Fernando Mendoza Instead Of Lamar Jackson Trade
Although the Las Vegas side would love to have a player like Lamar Jackson. However, they are aiming to rebuild the team from scratch and not a quick-fix solution.
They have gotten the No. 1 draft pick after another poor season. Las Vegas finished at the bottom of the AFC West with a horrible 3-14 record. The only viable option at the quarterback position is going to be Fernando Mendoza.
He won the National Championship with the Indianapolis Hoosiers. The 22-year-old went 16-0 in the competition and even won the Heisman Trophy. In 16 games, Mendoza led the league with 41 touchdowns for 3535 passing yards.
The Raiders’ owner, Mark Davi,s was present at the National Championship final to observe Mendoza’s performance. However, with him yet to declare himself for the 2026 draft, Las Vegas is stuck in between. If he doesn’t declare, then the Jackson trade comes into play.
