Kevin Stefanski Shares Feelings on DK Metcalf Following Controversial Incident
While the Browns prepare for a showdown, DK Metcalf is out after the NFL banned him for his altercation with a fan in the Lions game. But Kevin Stefanski is not relieved yet!
When a reporter asked Stefanski how the Steelers' offense is looking to him without Metcalf, the Browns HC did not let his guard down.
"I think they have a lot of guys that can make plays with the football, whether it's running backs out of the backfield, receivers at the quarterback truss, a bunch of tight ends that they can throw at you that can really play to all levels of the field. I mean, think about how they utilize their tight ends in different roles."

While Metcalf might be sidelined, the Steelers still have good and in-form tight ends. Darnell Washington has had 29 catches for 349 yards and has scored 1 touchdown in 15 games this season. Pat Freiermuth has had 35 catches for 372 yards and has scored 4 touchdowns in the same.
And with Metcalf out, Aaron Rodgers will target them.
Stefanski added, "So, obviously, D.K. is a great player. And again, we talked about him on Wednesday. I have a ton of respect for what he does, and he played great the first time we played them, but I think they have a bunch of different options in the past game."
DK Metcalf has had 59 catches for 850 yards and has scored 7 touchdowns in 15 games this season. He recorded 4 catches for 95 yards and scored 1 touchdown in their Week 6 meeting.
"You lose a great player, of course, you're going to need other guys to step up. I think they have other guys that can play different roles for them," Stefanski emphasized again when asked about the WR in the press conference. While the Browns have dodged a considerable threat, there might be more lurking.
But Kevin Stefanski is not only watching the Steelers' offense
Earlier in the press conference, a reporter asked the Browns' head coach about the Steelers' defense.
Stefanski said, "Yeah, I think good scheme, it's one of those things, their scheme's very different than our scheme, defensively. And both work when you coach it really well, when you have the players that fit the scheme. So that's the example of a good scheme, a good two-gapping scheme with players that match that scheme. "
He also added, "They obviously have gone up against different run attacks throughout the years, and whether it's zones or more downhill stuff. And I think it's a sound scheme that is really, let's their players play to their strengths."
The Steelers have allowed about 113.8 rushing yards per game to opponents so far this season. Opponents are averaging around 4.3–4.4 yards per carry against them.
