It didn't take too long for the 49ers to snap the Browns back to reality after their win against the Raiders. But with Week 14, Cleveland and Kevin Stefanski have a chance to improve their record. That's exactly why the HC came out with a strong message for his team.

In the press conference on Wednesday, Kevin Stefanski announced that Deshaun Watson was back in practice, but also said that the team’s focus is on the Titans game. With Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the team coming off a disappointing loss, it was easy to get carried away when it came to going up against the Titans.

“Obviously, have to play our best, have to play complementary football, which is a big emphasis for us every week. Certainly, big emphasis for us this week to do all those things that you do in a football game to keep yourself ahead of it, if you will,” he added.

For Stefanski, a win in this game would ensure that he moves past the shame of leading the team to a 3-14 record in 2024. Against Tennessee, it's the Browns' best chance to get a statement win.

Stefanski also added, “So we gotta do a great job winning field position on special teams, taking the ball away on defense, getting stops, and offensively doing a nice job of taking care of the ball and scoring points.”

Stefanski's not wrong. Although the Titans have the worst offense in the league (14.2 PPG) and fourth worst defense (27.3 PPG), it's not going to be an easy game. Before the blowout loss against the Jaguars, the Titans had one-score defeats against teams like the Seahawks, Chargers, and Texams. If Cleveland go in expecting an easy win, their record might just become 3-10.

“So it's quite a challenge for our units, period. So not gonna get into game plan specifics, but obviously have a ton of respect for their entire group.” And the respect Stefanski talked about showed clearly when he discussed one rookie QB.

Kevin Stefanski has a lot of respect for Cam Ward 

Although he signed for the Titans, number 1 draft pick Cam Ward visited the Browns and met with Stefanski in the early stages of the Draft. The reporter asked if  Stefanski had seen any improvement in him since then. 

“Yeah, I have a lot of respect for the young man. He's done a nice job to date. He can make every throw. I think it's evident on tape,” the Browns HC replied. Ward has shown talent with 2,351 yards, 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season, but compared to his 20+ touchdown seasons from college, these numbers sound small.
