Kevin Stefanski Reportedly on His Way Out as NFL Insider Drops Key Update on Browns' HC
The Browns are stuck in another tough season, and questions around head coach Kevin Stefanski are growing louder.
According to NFL insider Albert Breer on the MMQB NFL Podcast coming, Kevin Stefanski and the Browns could mutually part ways.
“If you’re Kevin, and you are making all of these decisions for football reasons, and you have made a lot of other decisions over the years for football reasons and they’re constantly second-guessed and everything turns into a circus, would you be sick of it?”

Breer's not wrong. Take the Wildcat call. It has been effective throughout the season. Quinshon Judkins has four touchdowns from it. And when he tried the same against the Titans last week, it didn't work. That failure got Stefanski a lot of hate.
"Has this just become, ‘You know what, this hasn’t worked out for either one of us over the last couple of years, so maybe it’s just time.’"
Stefanski’s early success in Cleveland, including two Coach of the Year awards, now feels distant as injuries, quarterback changes, and organizational friction have kept the team from stabilizing. Last year was wrecked by Deshaun Watson’s Achilles injury. This year has shuffled between Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders.
Now at 3-10, this feels a lot like the Browns are on the road to another 3-14 season, something Jimmy Haslam was clearly not happy about last year.
What can Kevin Stefanski do if he leaves the Browns
As a 2-time AP NFL Coach of the Year, Kevin Stefanski may not have a problem when it comes to finding a new role. Just a few days ago, before the loss to the Titans, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler touted him as one of the most favored candidates for coaching jobs in the NFL.
And it's not just him. Another ESPN analyst, Dan Orlovsky, had an idea about where Stefanski could end up.
"The No. 1 name that I would pay attention to if I were the Giants is what happens in Cleveland with Kevin Stefanski. If I could hand-pick a guy, it would be Stefanski. He’s an outstanding coach."
