Kevin Stefanski Offers Explanation After Wristband Malfunction Costs Shedeur Sanders

The fans had Kevin Stefanki under fire once again after the 3-31 humiliation from the Chicago Bears. This time, not just because of the game, but because of Shedeur Sanders' wristband.
The Browns QB had to rush to the sideline to swap his wristband in the very first quarter of the game. In the post-game press conference, reporters asked for explanations from both Sanders and Stefanski.
The HC said, "Yeah, there was a miscommunication early." A reporter raised what the fans were asking: if there were wrong plays in the wristband on the first two drives. "No, yeah, yeah. There was something, I don't know if the wristband got something on it or whatever it was, but there was a, we got that fixed pretty quickly," Stefanski cleared.
Shedeur's answer gave more clarity. "The card just fell out. It just fell out on the sideline. That was it," he said. Whatever may have happened, it did end up harming the Browns' play.
Sanders had trouble communicating with his offensive huddle during the first quarter. He ran to the sideline to get the play directly from head coach Kevin Stefanski and got charged for a delay of game penalty. All in all, it wasn't a great day for Sanders, but the HC is backing him.

Sanders recorded 18-of-35 for 177 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions. The Bears sacked him five times. His first interception came when his short pass for Harold Fannin Jr. was tipped and intercepted by Bears LB D’Marco Jackson near the 20-yard line.
Then he sent the football flying towards Jerry Jeudy in the end zone. A perfectly accurate pass, but it bounced off Jeudy and into the arms of Jaylon Johnson in coverage. Nine plays later, the Bears converted that into a touchdown. Stefanski was asked in the post-game press conference if he talked to Sanders about the ups and downs.
The HC answered that he does discuss the opponents' strengths, but he also focuses on his QB's development in these games. "And he's fighting like crazy to try to help us win. Obviously, we came up short, all of us, we came up short. So you learn from it, and you apply those lessons in the future," he added.
What do you think of his statement?
