Kevin Stefanski Left Comforting Shedeur Sanders After Tough Night Against Bears
The Bears took no mercy on Shedeur Sanders. They forced three interceptions, sacked him 5 times, and allowed no touchdowns in 18/35 passes for 177 yards. Criticism is raining down heavily on the rookie, but Kevin Stefanski is by his side.
The Browns' head coach has said that this was just a bad game for Sanders, and they happen to quarterbacks as well as to anyone.
“The sky’s not falling. I think with young players, there’s growing, and there’s learning that happens,” Stefanski said.
He added, “And, you know, look at history for, I don’t care what the position is, but look at history in terms of young players, and sometimes there’s moments that aren’t going to go your way, and you learn from those. So that’s no different for any position, no different for Shedeur versus any other player. There’s going to be really good games. There’s going to be games you want back. There’s going to be plays you want back, great plays. "

The 43-year-old is not wrong. Every player has a bad game. As a matter of fact, Sanders has 946 yards and 5 touchdowns in five games, which is better than Tom Brady. He recorded 670 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first five games and needs no telling how great he became.
Stefanski added, " So, I look at it for a young player to be able to go into a really tough spot, have some really good moments, some moments that you want back. We’ll learn from those, we’ll grow from those, and we’ll be better from those.”
Even the QB followed similar lines. In the post-game press conference, he praised the Bears' defense, adding that he looked forward to learning from the game and "understanding exactly how things were on film." That being said, the game was not all bad for him.
Shedeur Sanders' performance had its positives
On the sheet, this was the worst performance put forward by Shanders in his 5-game NFL career, but on the field, things were a little different. To start with, this was his first time against such a defense. Before this, his two successful games came against two teams with a combined record of 4-24.
But he did stand tall against the defense. In one play, he sent the football flying to Jerry Jeudy in the end zone, a perfectly accurate deep pass. Had Jeudy caught it, it would have been a touchdown, but the football bounced off his hand and landed in the arms of Jaylon Johnson in coverage.
Other than this, he threw a 47-yard pass to Isiah Bond, which brought him and the team some yards. He was willing to take what the defense gave him in the fourth quarter. Sheduer Sanders did not force a pass deep or play hero ball, but tried to slowly move the chains.
Let us know what you think of his performance in the comments.
