Kevin Stefanski Gets Real Over DK Metcalf Drama Ahead of Steelers Clash

DK Metcalf is the only player after Randy Moss in NFL history with 50 receptions, 900 yards, and five TDs in his first six seasons. He is one guy you plan for when going against his team. Kevin Stefanski is doing the same.

In Tuesday's press conference, a reporter asked the Browns head coach how he feels about DK Metcalf, who has challenged his suspension for the next two games.

“Yeah, I don’t know, obviously, for sure. I saw the news just like everybody else did. So, we’ll adjust accordingly based on how it all shakes out,” said Kevin Stefanski about the Steelers star.

During Week 16 against the Detroit Lions, Metcalf approached a fan and made physical contact by grabbing his shirt after some verbal escalation. The NFL found Metcalf’s actions against the league’s rules and suspended him for two games without pay.

Meanwhile, Metcalf had 4 catches for 95 yards and has scored 1 touchdown in thier last game against the Lions, which the Steelers won (23-9). Stefanski has kept that in his mind as well.

“Obviously, he’s a great player. Gone against him many times. He was great in that first game versus us, so we have a lot of respect for him," he added. However, Stefainski isn't resting easy just because Metcalf might not play.

Kevin Stefanski is still concerned about another player in DK Metcalf's absence

Earlier in the press conference, a reporter asked Stefanski how he expects things to change since DK Metcalf won't be playing against them. The HC named one guy who could be a big problem for the Browns.

“Yeah, hard to say. They have a bunch of guys that can affect the game. They do a great job, run after the catch. Obviously, (Aaron) Rodgers is playing at an extremely high level, as accurate as anybody in the game. So, they have a bunch of different ways that they can get the ball down the field," the Browns coach said about the veteran QB.

Aaron Rodgers might not be at his very best this season, but the 42-year-old is still dangerous. He has a passer rating of 98.2 with 2,860 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 14 games this season. And these stats get even better when the opponents are the Browns.

In his career, Rodgers has faced them 4 times and has a passer rating of 124.4 with 943 yards and 11 touchdowns. That is more than 230 yards and 2 TDs per game. So he is going to be trouble for the Browns, but DK Metcalf not being there might nerf him a little bit.
