The 31-3 loss against the Chicago Bears has only made things worse for Kevin Stefanski, as one moment from the game drew a lot of attention.

In the Week 15 match against the Chicago Bears, Stefanski gave starting quarterback Sheduer Sanders the wrong replacement play-call wristband. In a post-game conference, Stefanski acknowledged the confusion that caused the issue.

“Yeah, there was a miscommunication early. I don’t know that the… ah… the wristband got something on it or whatever it was... We got that fixed pretty quickly.” 

Amidst talk of Shedeur Sanders being 'sabotaged', the rookie's statement backed his coach. "The card just fell out. It fell out on the sideline. That was it."

The confusion wasn’t limited to Sanders. In the second quarter, too many people were present on the field, the team had a false start in the opening drive, and a delay in the second drive while Sanders ran to the sideline to receive a play call from his coach.

But the miscommunication didn't end there for Shedeur Sanders

Despite throwing for over 177 yards and rushing for 24 yards, Sanders couldn't score a touchdown. He threw three massive interceptions that seemed to highlight the Browns' offensive troubles. But Sanders is staying positive despite the interceptions.

"I think in every situation it’s always gonna be things that you wanna work on, things that you wanna get better. So I think that’s where I’m headed. You know I’m just in a learning and understanding phase of this game and how things are."

The Browns have won only three games so far and seem to end up in another 3-14 season. There are only three games left, yet Sanders is hopeful.

“I’ve still got the same belief in myself,” he said. “It is like it is every week. You’ve got to get out there, learn from it, and play better. That’s it.”

Will the Browns learn from these issues of miscommunication that cost them so heavily?
