Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry Risk Losing Jobs as Browns Consider Future

This week, a big part of the discussion in Cleveland was what to do about the head coaching job.

Rumors of Kevin Stefanski losing his job have taken a new turn, as Tony Rizzo, on the Tony Rizzo Show, alleged that a member of the front office staff could also be asked to leave.

“According to multiple sources, the Browns are still deciding the future of their coach and GM [Andrew Berry]. If you think right now the Browns have a plan, they don’t."

They haven't reached a final decision on whether to let go of both, just one of them, or keep both of them. However, one thing Rizzo maintained was that the decision would come only after the season ended.

That means the Browns could be evaluating based on their end-of-season record. At the moment, they sit at 3-10. With four games remaining, they can go as high as 7-10, but they will be facing the best in the league, so that seems like a long shot. However, if it swings the other way, they equal their last season's record, 3-14.

And in case Kevin Stefanski leaves, the Browns may have Coach Prime come in

NFL Insider Richard Johnson took X on December 11th, hinting at the likelihood of Deion Sanders potentially taking over the reins.

“The Browns would 'strongly consider' hiring Colorado HC Deion Sanders to be their next HC if they decide to move on from Kevin Stefanski. Are we really about to see it happen?”

After taking over the Colorado Buffaloes in 2022, a team that had finished 1-11 the year before,  Deion Sanders rebuilt the program into a 9-4 team by 2024. He even helped Travis Hunter win the Heisman.

The Browns look like they're on a similar path. Do you think Deion Sanders can be a good Browns coach? Let us know in the comments!
