Josh Allen's Frustration Caught on Camera as Bills QB Left Fuming Post 3rd Turnover
During the AFC Divisional game against the Denver Broncos, Josh Allen was visibly frustrated after a series of fumbles and sacks.
It all started early in the first half. While the Bills were leading 7-3, a rare James Cook III fumble led to a Broncos drive that ended in a touchdown.
Before halftime, when the Broncos were leading 10-7, linebacker Nik Bonitto and safety Devon Key forced Allen to fumble in the 1st and 10. Bonitto chased Allen as Key rushed to attack him. Allen threw the ball away as chaos erupted on the field.
With five minutes left on the clock in the third quarter, Locke tracked Allen’s deep pass to wide receiver Curtis Samuel and rushed the opposite way. Following the third turnover, the Buffalo Bills quarterback took off his helmet and banged it on the sidelines. The Broncos were leading 23 while the Bills were trailing with 17 points.
With 12 interceptions this season, the frustration came to a tipping point against the Broncos, as a final turnover in overtime allowed the Broncos to win the AFC Championship spot.
In the End, More Errors Cost Josh Allen and Co. Their Championship Spot
Despite the Broncos making a late score in the final quarter, Allen and the Bills managed to equalize with a 50-yard field goal. However, when it came to overtime, they stumbled.
While Allen got the ball moving on the Bills’ drive, a costly interception turned the ball over. That’s when multiple penalties for pass interference saw the Broncos get in field goal range easily.
After a hard-fought game where the Bills came back from a 17-10 deficit, Allen couldn’t help but hold his face in disappointment at the end of the game. With this, another campaign comes to an end for Allen, not even reaching the Championship game, unlike last year.
