Josh Allen Grateful for Teammates After Neutralising Myles Garrett Threat
The most-awaited one-on-one matchup in the Browns vs. Bills game was between Josh Allen and Myles Garrett.
Well, it’s safe to say that the Buffalo side’s offensive line perfectly neutralized the league-leading sacker. The star QB was all praise for the offensive linemen and the offensive staff for the way they tackled Garrett’s challenge.
The Bills relied more on the ground game, with running back James Cook scoring 2 touchdowns for 117 yards. Allen wasn’t as impactful in the game as he would’ve wished, scoring 0 touchdowns for 130 passing yards. He was sacked just twice in the entire game.

In the press conference after their 23-20 win over the Browns, Allen said, "yeah, they did fantastic. The game plan of going into it, you know getting some hands on him early giving him different looks. so, it's credit to the offensive staff and our offensive line."
In the 2nd quarter, Cleveland's defense forced Allen to backpedal towards his own red zone. Garrett and Alex Wright split a sack, but it was the former’s only sacking point earned throughout the entire game. The Bills' offensive line successfully stopped him from breaking the record.
Myles Garrett backs the team despite the loss
Although Myles Garrett wasn’t so thrilled with suffering another loss, he still passed on a great message to his teammates for their next game.
He stated that every player should respect their teammates and play for them. The Browns’ star defensive tackle said it was an honour and a blessing to have that feeling.
“Like I said… you play for the man next to you. He’s given everything to be here. It’s an honor and a privilege. It’s a blessing. I don’t want you to take it for granted. Not a single second being in this league.”
Garrett’s performance has been one of the few positive things Cleveland can be proud of this season. In 15 games, he has recorded 41 solo tackles and 22 sacks, just one away from breaking Michael Strahan and T.J.Watt.
The Browns are already eliminated from playoff contention with a poor 3-12 record. With just two games to play, will he be able to break the record and reach 25 sacks? Let us know in the comments!
