Shedeur Sanders' rookie season hasn't gone exactly how he thought it would.

At first, he ended the season with a QBR of 18.9, which ranked among the worst in the league for players with at least 200 passing attempts. And now it has hit another career low.

NFL journalist, Dov Kleiman, posted a list of the lowest graded players by PFF at every position this NFL season. Shedeur Sanders was the worst graded quarterback of the season with 44.1. The fans had a mixed reaction.

One fan agreed with the grading, saying, "Thinking objectively here. I do believe by sanders play that this grade is accurate." Sanders had a passer rating of 68.1 with 1,400 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 8 games in 2025.

He had one great game where he threw for 364 yards, 3 touchdowns, and rushed for 1 touchdown against the Titans. Doing this made him the first Browns' QB since 1950 to have such numbers. But then again, his EPA (Expected Points Added) is -0.21.

This means his first seven starts sit at 167 out of 184 NFL quarterbacks since 2000 in this metric. Historically, among QBs whose EPA was -0.18 or lower, only about 8%, including players like Jared Goff and Alex Smith, have gone on to enjoy successful NFL careers.

Many others have agreed with the ratings, while many have also argued that it's unfair.

Fans Stand Divided Over Shedeur Sanders and His New Career Low

A fan clapped back at ratings with a comment, "Sanders made the pro bowl, joke is on you 😂😂😂😂". But then many said the same thing in the sarcasm as well. "sheduer just keeps topping lists. #legendary pro bowl qb." This comment is an example.

The NFL selected Sanders for the Pro Bowl after Drake Maye went to the Super Bowl and stars like Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes, etc., pulled out due to injuries and other reasons.

"Why they gotta keep doing my guy dirty. Shedeur played behind a pop warner O-Line." Read one comment. The Browns had one of the worst offesnive line in the season. Shedeur Sanders and other Browns' quarterbacks were sacked 51 times, the 7th most in the season.

Another fan wrote, "And some calling him a franchise QB🤣🤣🤣" When Sanders debuted, many fans called him the Franchise QB of the Browns, but he did not stand upto the hype.
