Joe Burrow reveals hilarious Joe Flacco comments made by his friends

Entering his 19th NFL season, Joe Flacco remains one of the league's most experienced veterans. In the third season of Netflix's Quarterback, Joe Burrow revealed how his teammates often poke fun at Flacco in a light-hearted manner.

"My friends were making fun of how he sits on the bench on the sideline," Burrow joked in his conversation with the Netflix Quarterback. "They were like, 'He just looks like an old wise man.'"

The latest season of Netflix's Quarterback not only follows Joe Flacco but also features Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward, and Jayden Daniels, offering exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the 2025 NFL season.

Flacco arrived in the Bengals via a midseason trade from the Cleveland Browns, and upon his arrival, Flacco wasted no time in making an impact.

The veteran earned his first Pro Bowl nod after throwing for 1,664 yards and 13 touchdowns in just nine games.

“In general, fans have this grand idea of what the NFL is like,” Flacco says, according to Netflix. “They really only have a view of the top five guys on each team and what their life may be like. In general, there's a much different feel in the NFL than your average fan has.”

His impactful performance last season was enough for the Bengals to re-sign him to back up their starting QB, Joe Burrow.

Interestingly, Burrow wasn't the only one to take a shot at Flacco, as the Netflix documentary revealed that even his own family gave him a hilarious side-eye.

Joe Flacco gets benched at home, too

Netflix’s Quarterback opened up with a hilarious moment as Joe Flacco’s emotional homecoming to Baltimore took a back seat when his son made a business decision over an emotional one at fantasy football.

"If dad goes off, I'm gonna crash out," Frank Flacco said, prompting Flacco's wife, Dana, to ask what he meant by that. "'Cause I benched him."

As the entire room burst into laughter, Dana admitted she hoped Flacco would go off. Moments later, however, the cameras turned to her, and she made a surprise confession of her own; she had benched her husband, too.

"I play fantasy as well, and I had Joe on my bench," Dana said, laughing.

Well, the Flacco family made the right choice as Baltimore handed Flacco and the Browns a crushing 41-17 defeat, with the veteran quarterback enduring a tough outing.

He completed 25 of 45 passes for 199 yards and had only one touchdown.
