Myles Garrett's achievement against the Bengals even had his opponents praising him. Following the game, Bengals QB Joe Burrow took a moment to praise his rival.

“He’s the focus of our game plan every time we play him. It’s no secret. And it’s challenging because you have to commit resources to that, and that takes away resources from elsewhere.”

Take the Week 17 game against the Steelers. With the focus on defending against Garrett, the rest of the Browns' defense managed to keep the Steelers to 3.9 yards per pass.

“For the most part, I thought we were pretty good against him today, but you can see how impactful he is. We have no help for him one time, and he gets one.”

Garrett had to wait 55 minutes to get a history-making sack, but it finally happened in the last quarter. Garrett managed his fastest get-off of the season, 0.23 seconds, and went after Burrow. What’s more impressive is that he reached this milestone in just 437 snaps, which is 179 fewer than now second-placed Watt.

In 17 games, he has recorded 43 solo tackles and 3 forced fumbles. Garrett was thankful to all his teammates and coach Stefanski for showing him support.

It was a proud moment for Myles Garrett’s parents

Since the game between the Browns and the Bengals started, the attention was constantly panning on Myles Garrett’s father holding a camera to capture his son’s historic moment in a memory.

After Garrett sacked Burrow for the record-breaking sacks, a beautiful moment was captured, as his parents celebrated together. The veteran defensive end expressed his thoughts on his mother and father watching him break the record from the stands.

“It means a lot that they could be here. I wanted to bring pride to my last name,” he said. He has sacked many big names this season. In a tough 23-16 loss against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, he sacked Lamar Jackson four times and recorded five solo tackles.
