Prominent sports journalist and television analyst Jason La Canfora recently reported on the Browns’ quarterback plans. A longtime NFL executive familiar with Cleveland believes Jimmy Haslam has set his sights on Texas Longhorns QB Arch Manning.

The report suggested that the Browns owner would like the Texas Longhorns quarterback to eventually play for Cleveland. It further mentioned the Browns’ plans for their new stadium, where Haslam reportedly wants Manning to play.

Curiously, Arch Manning cannot enter the NFL Draft until 2027 at the earliest. That gives Cleveland time to assess its current quarterback options before deciding whether to pursue the college football star.

The Browns entered the season with quarterbacks Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Taylen Green competing for opportunities.

Watson started Week 1, while Gabriel later landed on injured reserve with a back injury.
