Jerry Jeudy Sounds Off Alarm Bells for Rivals Following Andrew Berry's Strong Backing

Jerry Jeudy is leaning into a major vote of confidence from the Cleveland Browns management. Despite a difficult 2025 season and new faces in the WR room, Jeudy's focus remains on his growth.

“I'm very confident. I'm going to always be confident by the amount of work I just put in throughout the offseason. I'm just waiting for it to transition to on the field,” ESPN reported Jeudy saying after the Browns’ fifth OTA practice on May 27.

Jeudy, according to reporter Daniel Oyefusi, remains the Browns’ WR 1. The new additions to the WR room do not imply any major changes, as general manager Andrew Berry reassured.

“Zero impact on Jerry. He's our bell cow,” Berry said after Day 2 of the draft.

His remarks came after the Browns picked Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion. According to earlier OTA reports, Boston caught a red-zone touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson, and Concepcion is still grappling with drops.

Jeudy, 27, gave his career-best performance in 2024. He recorded 90 receptions from 145 targets for 1,229 receiving yards and scored four touchdowns. Jeudy was a standout performer in the Browns’ 4-13 season. His even receptions set a new franchise record.

The 2025 season, however, was a different story. He made 50 receptions from 106 targets and gained just 602 receiving yards. An ESPN analysis ranked the Browns 29th overall in performance and highlighted Jeudy’s biggest flaw: drops.

He dropped the ball six times, tying for sixth in the league last year, from the Browns’ 27 total drops. He has spent this offseason fixing that issue.

“Just like ball drills, small ball drills, bouncing off the wall, little stuff like that,” he said.

Apart from fixing his flaws, Jeudy is preparing to play a pivotal season with regard to their quarterback.

Jerry Jeudy Reveals His Take On Browns' Quarterbacks Competiton

The Cleveland Browns are caught up in a starting quarterback competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders. This tug is significant for the franchise and Jerry Jeudy, who understands that collaborating well with the QB is of utmost importance.

“For a receiver, it's always good to be able to have your quarterback consistent in years,” Jeudy told ESPN. “So that's only going to help you to build chemistry. So being able to have Deshaun and Shedeur back this year and Dillon, all those guys that I played with last year, is a great feeling. You don't get that too often.”

Last season, he played for Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, 2025 rookies. Gabriel played for the first ten weeks and passed for 937 yards and seven touchdowns. Sanders threw for 1,400 passing yards and seven touchdowns.

This season, if Watson starts, Jeudy would be playing with him two years later. Whether the Browns and Jeudy land a stable QB is to be seen. What are your thoughts?
