Jerry Jeudy Offers Surprising Advice to Shedeur Sanders After Tough Bears Loss

Last Sunday, the Cleveland Browns suffered an embarrassing loss against the Chicago Bears by 31-3. And the rookie quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, messed up.

Still, Jerry Jeudy has advised him to look beyond it. “One game don’t define who you are. It’s part of football,” he said.

The Bears sacked Sanders five times. He completed only 18 passing attempts out of 35, for 177 yards, and made no touchdowns. Yet, Jeudy told Sanders not to dwell on it.

“Don’t let that dictate how you come out here and practice, and trying to get better each and every week,” Jerry Jeudy further mentioned. “Just keep being who you are, stay focused, and keep the main thing the main thing.”

This word of encouragement comes a while after Jeudy and Sanders’ last interaction, which made headlines for the wrong reasons. The Browns lost to the San Fransico 49ers 26-8, and Jeudy was seen yelling at Sanders after reviewing a play. When asked about the incident, both players said they resolved the issue and moved on.

However, the Browns QB isn't the only one having a difficult season

Jerry Jeudy Isn’t Having the Season He Wanted

“I get excited knowing I’m able to face those challenges because you’ve got to understand this,” the 23-year-old said. “This year right here, this is the worst it’s going to be.”

Against the 49ers, Jeudy averaged 8.7 in receiving and messed up a potential touchdown pass, which was later intercepted. After the sideline blow-up, he took accountability for his performance.

“From looking at it, I probably could’ve slow-played it a little bit, instead of trying to jump into it,” said Jerry Jeudy post the Bears loss.

Jeudy has made bad plays throughout this season. The veteran has 40 receptions for 519 yards and two touchdowns. A decline compared to his 2024 performance of 90 catches for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns. Will Jeudy take his advice and make improvements in 2026?

The current season wraps up soon, and the Browns must decide if they will let it define them moving into the next one.
