As the oldest wide receiver on the team, Jerry Jeudy has high expectations to fulfill for the Cleveland Browns and his fans. However, the latest clip of him failing at practice has left many baffled.

“Jerry Jeudy’s a 7th-year veteran, and he still doesn’t work back to the QB,” the Dawgs, a Browns’ podcast, captioned a video they shared on May 20.

The post highlighted a pressing problem the Browns have to tackle. In 2025, Jeudy led the team’s wide receiver room, but with just 50 receptions for 605 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. 

His performance is a far cry from the best the league saw last year. Jaxon Smith-Njigba made 119 receptions, and Puca Nacua racked up 129. ESPN ranked the Browns’ offensive core and the wide receiver 29th in the league. 

Justin Cooper originally posted this clip from the Browns’ OTA practice held on that day. It was the first time the Browns’ rookies and veterans gathered for practice this offseason. In this session where quarterback Shedeur Sanders targeted Jeudy, but he dropped the ball.

Instead, cornerback Myles Bryant led the charge with the defense. He jumped to catch the ball and dashed with it. Bryant, 28 and older than Jeudy by a year, is a new addition to the team. He signed a one-year contract worth $1.4 million. 

While the cornerback has churned out good plays in the OTAs, Jeudy’s performance is concerning, and fans are not having it.

Frustrated Fans Call Out Jerry Jeudy For His OTA Miss

After wide receiver Jerry Jeudy missed a throw from Shedeur Sanders, he faced the ire of fans, many of whom wanted him out.

“Horrendous. If Monken is serious about changing this franchise it starts with players like Jeudy hitting the pine,” one comment read. 

They urged the franchise and head coach Todd Monken to reconsider him on the team, and another comment shared the sentiment.

“This is on Jeudy. Shedeur even put the ball on the outside away from the defender. This is just lazy a** football by Jeudy. Cut him and move on.”

Another fan joked that they would play with Jeudy. 

“If I'm Shedeur... I'm not passing to that dude unless I absolutely have to lol.”

However, some fans placed the responsibility of this missed pass on Sanders, too.

“I know Jeudy has been bad and certainly wasn’t perfect here but that ball is pretty late especially considering there’s no pass rush,” one fan replied.

One replied, criticizing Sanders as well.

“Not a great throw and not a great decision by the QB,”
