Jason Kelce Sends Surprising Message to Browns Fans Amidst Ongoing Struggles

Feb 5, 2026, 2:58 PM CUT

While the Cleveland Browns watch another Super Bowl and playoffs go by without the team, NFL legend Jason Kelce sent a special message to the fans out of nowhere.

"What's up, Brownies? Just wanted to say, love Cleveland, loved growing up there, there’s always a soft spot in our heart for the Browns, even though it rips us apart at times. Hope you guys are doing great up by the lake. We miss you. Love you guys."

The Kelce brothers grew up in Cleveland Heights before making it to the NFL. They grew up in the suburban area, not just playing football, but also other sports as well.

The brothers keep giving back to the community. Just recently, they reached out to Laila Edwards to support her GoFundMe to take her family to the Winter Olympics. And she's not the only one who had the Kelce's support.

As Travis once explained, "I was able to relate to all those kids growing up. I don’t care what you look like, where you come from; I’m gonna be friendly and lend a helping hand."

Kelce's message served as a reminder of unity and harmony, that there is a strong bond between the city of Cleveland and those who continue to support its team, no matter how hard the circumstances are.

The Gesture Comes At a Rough Time For the Cleveland Browns

Things aren't looking too great for the Browns at the moment. While they have hired Todd Monken as the head coach, things aren't settled in Cleveland.

According to reports, defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz isn't happy with the decision. He was the frontrunner for the head coach position before Monken got it. And while Schwartz's contract runs through 2026, the Browns cannot stop him from looking at head coaching jobs elsewhere.

At the same time, QB Shedeur Sanders is getting a lot of criticism about his Pro Bowl selection and performance. Perhaps we will see big changes come under Todd Monken next season.
