Jared Verse comments on Browns possibly "tanking"
Jared Verse is confident heading into the new season. Verse, who was traded to Cleveland, as part of the Myles Garrett trade, rejected the idea that the Browns will tank this season.
Former defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz leaving during the offseason and trading away Myles Garrett has caused concern among fans. There also concern regarding the quarterback position and with a loaded quarterback class in 2027, some analysts are expecting the Browns to tank.
When asked, Jared Verse said he believes people are overlooking the players still in Cleveland:
"I think a lot of people get confused about the trade. You losing Myles. He's a great player. He's one of the best players ever to play the game. A lot of people are, 'Oh, they're going to be bad. This quarterback, that quarterback.' Whatever they're talking about. Focus on the ball. We're out there going to win. This isn't a season to go tank and try to get a top-two pick and try to get some dawg." (via Cleveland Browns)
Former Browns star Myles Garrett made his Rams debut
Myles Garrett made his Rams debut in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the first ever NFL game taking place in Australia. The Rams lost 27 - 7, with Garrett having one of the statistically worst games of his career.
The Rams only arrived in Australia a little over 24 hours before the game and just didn't seem as prepared as the 49ers.
