"It just builds trust" - Browns star reveals how Deshaun Watson is helping build trust in Cleveland

Deshaun Watson recently hosted a party for his Cleveland Browns teammates, giving them a chance to connect away from football. Browns wide receiver Denzel Boston explained how such gatherings can strengthen relationships and help the team handle pressure together.

Speaking to reporters, Boston described how these interactions can build connections beyond the field. He explained that spending time together helps teammates develop familiarity and confidence in one another.

“Yeah, you know, it just builds trust. It builds levels of trust that—it’s an outside force of the game that plays a role in the game.”

Boston added that knowing a teammate will deliver when needed can make a difference during crucial moments. He believes these bonds help players rely on one another when the pressure rises.

“Knowing that I got my guy over here, he's gonna go win. So, it just builds trust for those certain moments and just allows the team to all trust each other at a high level.”

Watson's gesture could help Cleveland build stronger connections within the locker room, giving teammates another reason to stand behind one another when games hang in the balance.

Cleveland Browns' offense faces pressure to deliver more consistent results

Cleveland’s 4-2 record masks an uneven offense. The Browns scored 12 points in their Week 5 loss to the New York Jets, then managed only 13 in their Week 6 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland failed to score before halftime against Baltimore, recording just 46 net yards. The Ravens also recorded three sacks in the first half. Although the Browns rallied after the break, their defense and a late field goal proved decisive.

Cleveland now needs greater offensive consistency to complement its defensive efforts.
