Bernie Kosar has seen enough from Shedeur Sanders to believe the Browns rookie quarterback can make an impact when his opportunity finally arrives.

Speaking on Yahoo Sports Daily, the Browns legend explained why Sanders had impressed him during his development. Kosar also made his support for the young quarterback clear, and noted every player should get their opportunities:

“I'm a big believer that guys deserve their opportunity to play, but I've really loved what I've seen in Shedeur Sanders. His work ethic, the way he's progressed, his efficiency and what he's thrown with the ball.”

Those qualities have strengthened Kosar's belief in the young quarterback. He then explained what he expects when Sanders gets his chance:

“I do think that Shedeur is going to play really well when he gets his opportunity to play.”

Kosar also made clear that he believes players deserve their opportunity. Sanders will now look to turn the progress the Browns legend has noticed into production when his chance arrives.

Bernie Kosar's support for Shedeur Sanders extends beyond his development on the field.

In an earlier interview, Kosar praised the way Sanders' teammates have responded to him. He pointed to the quarterback's ability to connect with those around him and described the respect he has earned inside the locker room.

Kosar also highlighted the leadership opportunities that come with that connection, making for a very bright future for the 24-year-old.
