"I Hate Them": Rams Star Jared Verse Rips Into Seahawks After Their Super Bowl Win
The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions. But for Rams star Jared Verse, their victory only fuels a rivalry he describes with one word: 'hate.' His recent podcast comments reveal just how deep the feeling runs.
"They're a division rival, all that good stuff. But like I genuinely don't like them," Verse said on The Pivot podcast last week. "I got like a disdain in my heart for them. Like, I hate them. I don't like the Seahawks at all. There's nothing I like about them. I don't like their players. There's nobody I like about their staff. I don't like them."
He said that when they play the Seahawks, the entire team adopts that mindset, even if it’s a friend on the sideline, they see them as the opponent. Verse joked that if his own mother wore Seahawks colors, she’d be treated as the opposition that day.
And this won't be the first time Jared Verse has rained down on the Seahawks. "They got to see me for a lot more. So it don't matter. They got to see me for a lot more," he said before the two met in Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season.
The Seahawks won that game with the highlight being their late two‑point attempt, which was initially ruled incomplete, but replay showed it was a backward pass. As a result, the ball was live, and Zach Charbonnet recovered it in the end zone.
This tied the game and sent it to overtime, where Seattle won 38‑37. Verse had 1 solo tackle, 3 assists, and 0.5 sacks in that game. Before this one, they had defeated the Seahawks in week 11 (21-19), but the team in green had the last laugh when they met for the NFC Championships.
Sam Darnold delivered an elite performance with 346 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Seahawks once again emerged victorious with 31-27 on the scorecard. Jared Verse had 1 solo tackle, 2 assists, and 1.0 sack in that game, and he took the blame for the loss.
"I think this is just me being completely blatantly honest. I think it was a young mindset. I think it was my fault on the defense," he said. Losing the NFC Championship to a hated rival was a bitter pill for Verse. The silver lining is that Verse is not the only Rams player who feels this way about the Seahawks.
Puka Nacua is on the Same Line as Verse for the Seahawks
Puka Nacua put his all against the Seahawks in the 2025 season. He had 19 catches for 300 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in 2 regular-season games against them. He also voiced out against the officiating in the second game as well.
Nacua had 9 catches for 165 yards and scored 1 touchdown in the playoff game as well. During Super Bowl LX celebrations, Nacua posted on X, "😂 sam darnold". Nobody knows what he was laughing at, but Darnold did not have the best of games that day.
He completed 19 passes in 38 attempts for 202 yards with 1 touchdown. Then, in a recent interview, he was also asked about the team he feels most fired up against."I don't like giving the Seahawks any motivation. They're not that good, actually."
But he also confessed that he was trash-talking and said, "Maybe it is the Seahawks. I don't like the color red either. But I do like Fred Warner."
