Things haven't exactly been going as planned for Shedeur Sanders. After a few impressive performances in the tailend of last season, and a good preseason, many were hoping for him to be named the Browns' starting QB.

However, in a stunning turn of events, new HC Todd Moken has instead handed the role to Deshaun Watson. This has led to fans becoming infuriated and calling out the decision. Some are even wondering why Shedeur is on the Browns.

Recently, Tony Rizzo asked the very same question. On ESPN Cleveland, Rizzo was asked if Sanders will be on the roster next season. He countered, wondering why he is even on the roster now if the front office and coaching staff don't believe in him.

"I don't know why he's on the Browns this year if they don't believe in him, if they don't want to give him a chance."

It's a completely fair question. After all, Sanders is a player who surely has ambitions of being a top QB in the NFL. Hopefully, he gets his chance sometime soon.

Shedeur Sanders may be forced into a tough situation

Shedeur Sanders may not be QB1 right now, but that could change very soon. If reports are to be believed, Deshaun Watson is being kept on a short leash.

Reporters and critics alike believe Watson will have four weeks to prove he deserves to be QB1. If he struggles and the Browns start to fail, Shedeur will be given his shot.

However, if that time does come around, it may put Sanders in a difficult situation. After all, it isn't easy being tasked with saving a sinking ship. But, at the end of the day, this is all just speculation. Fans will have to just wait and see how the season goes.
