Howie Roseman Drops Major AJ Brown Trade Hint Amidst Concerns Over Eagles’ Future

Less than a week after the Philadelphia Eagles crashed out of the playoffs, the team has a verdict on whether A.J. Brown will stay on the team.

While Sirianni dozed off any fire by stating “A.J. is all-in,” most recently, Howie Roseman, the franchise’s vice president, made his stance clear.

In a media session on Friday, “It’s hard to find great players in the NFL, and A.J.’s a great player,” he said.

In his seven seasons with the Eagles, Brown has made 524 catches for 8,029 yards and scored 58 touchdowns. Compared to his years with the Eagles, the 28-year-old’s performance has dipped.

"I think from my perspective, that's what we're going out and looking for when we go out here in free agency, in the draft, just trying to find great players who love football, and he's that guy."

Brown ended this season with 78 receptions, 1,003 yards, and 7 touchdowns. However, just a few days ago in their playoff game, A.J. Brown struggled with just 25 yards. Despite a fall in his numbers this season, Roseman wanted to keep Brown. It was clear from his November comments.

"I think that when you're trying to be a great team, it's hard to trade great players, and A.J. Brown is a great player. He wears a 'C' for a reason. He's an important part of this team, of this organization."

However, Brown has been upset with his team and their management for a while now. In November, he hinted that he didn’t enjoy playing football with the Eagles anymore and raised many concerns.

Brown Had Poor Thoughts About The Eagles

To provide context, in November, during a Twitch stream, Brown was asked if everything was going well between the team and him.

To which he laughed and said, “No. Where have you been? Family’s good. Everything else? No.”

He went on to add, "If you got me on fantasy (football) man, get rid of me."

For now, Brown's contract runs till 2029. Will Roseman take them into account and look for a replacement, at last?
