The Cleveland Browns improved to 2-1 after a 21-18 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The win also kept defensive tackle Mason Graham's impressive start to the season going.

Cleveland had selected Graham fifth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, and speaking on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show, Adam 'The Bull' Gerstenhaber admitted that he and others had questioned the pick the previous year:

“We didn't like the pick of Mason Graham. I don't think any of us loved that pick. We complained a lot last year, 'Yeah, he's playing pretty well, but he's a top 5 pick; he's gotta play like a star.'”

Graham has since been able to change that view. He has recorded four sacks through three games, including two against Carolina, and posted seven tackles Sunday.

“Man, has he played like a star so far this year. Mason Graham has been absolutely fantastic. He's been the best player on their defense. I don't even think it's that close," Adam the Bull said.

Graham's performances have now turned early skepticism into widespread praise from the media, with his play making a strong case for the lofty expectations placed on him.

Deshaun Watson Helps Browns Secure Another Comeback Win

Deshaun Watson struggled to move the Browns consistently for much of Sunday's game, but he delivered when Cleveland needed him most.

The Browns QB1 completed 16 of 30 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. He led an eight-play, 55-yard drive late in the 4th quarter, finding Harold Fannin Jr. for the go-ahead score with 1:48 remaining.

The late response helped Cleveland overcome an 18-13 deficit and secure consecutive victories. The defense kept Cleveland in the game before Watson delivered twice late.
