Cleveland Browns fans have seemingly reached their breaking point with Deshaun Watson. Many were already unhappy about his presence on the roster, and that frustration only grew after he was named QB1 ahead of Shedeur Sanders.

There are plenty of reasons behind the backlash, including Watson's long list of controversies, his massive contract, and his struggles on the field. Now, Browns general manager Andrew Berry has potentially given those fans another reason to be concerned about Watson's future.

When asked about the possibility of extending Watson's contract, Berry refused to rule anything out. In fact, his response was remarkably simple.

“I wouldn't take anything off the table.”

That statement is unlikely to make Browns fans feel any better about the situation. An extension could keep Deshaun Watson in Cleveland beyond his current deal, despite the widespread frustration surrounding the quarterback.

However, everything could ultimately come down to what happens on the field. If Watson struggles, Browns fans will likely make their voices heard, but if he somehow rediscovers his best form, much of the criticism could disappear.

Todd Monken Believes He Made the Right Choice Naming Deshaun Watson QB1

Todd Monken has already made it clear that Browns fans did not influence his decision. While he understands that supporters have every right to boo or criticize the team, he believes those reactions cannot dictate his football decisions.

For Monken, the responsibility ultimately falls on him and his coaching staff. They evaluated the quarterbacks and decided Deshaun Watson gives them the best chance to succeed right now.

That decision could still change if Watson fails to perform. For now, though, Monken is sticking to his guns and giving his veteran quarterback the opportunity to prove him right.
