Giants LB Abdul Carter Rips Into Jaxson Dart Yet Again Over President Trump Rally

The recent appearance of the New York Giants’ quarterback, Jaxson Dart, at a rally for President Trump got reactions from the other players on the team.

Giants linebacker Abdul Carter has been outspoken regarding the incident. At a recent media appearance on Friday, Carter addressed the episode again and called out Jaxson Dart.

“So, first off, I want to say that some things are bigger than football and this is one of those things,” said Carter. “Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise. He not only represents himself in what he does, but he represents all of us.”

He also added that he wanted both his teammates and the wider public to understand where he stood on the matter.

Carter’s recent comments came after Jaxson Dart made an appearance at an event at Rockland Community College last Friday. He was tasked with introducing President Trump to the stage before addressing his supporters.

Earlier, after the footage went viral, Carter took to X, "Thought this s*** was AI, what we doing man." He later clarified that he and Dart were still on good terms.

Carter added that what matters in the end is that he and Dart have the same goal as a team. Dart also spoke with the reporters the same day, appearing on stage before Carter. He said that he sees Carter as a brother and that they are aligned.

Both Giants players reaffirmed their position that there’s no animosity between them. The dynamic between the two got praise from another Giants quarterback.

Jameis Winston is Proud of Abdul Carter and Jaxson Dart

The New York Giants have handled the recent controversy of Dart appearing in a Trump rally fairly well.

After concerns that there would be a dent in the dynamics between the Giants’ teammates, QB Jameis Winston’s recent comments gave proof that everything is fine.

“I’m proud of Jaxson and Abdul for having this conversation, getting in front of y’all and speaking what they would love,” said Winston to the media on Friday, as quoted on the Giants' official site. “I’m proud of our team for understanding that we don’t have to pick a side in this."

He said teammates should support one another even when they hold different views, adding that it is important to understand and respect what others stand for.

Winston concluded by saying that both Dart and Carter have a tighter bond than anything else.
