Former Browns Star Makes Major GM Andrew Berry Claim Amidst Recent Concerns
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is already in hot water. And while he's suffering from the consequences of the 4-12, one former pro thinks Andrew Berry is sitting safe.
Amidst speculation of internal turmoil, Phil Taylor thinks Andrew Berry may stick around even if Kevin Stefanski goes.
In an episode of The Top Dawgs Show, former Browns player Phil Taylor talked about this year's draft class.
“I think Berry saved his job with this draft. Stefanski is still on the hot seat,” he stated.
With names like Mason Graham, Carson Schwesinger, Quinshon Judkins, Harold Fannin Jr., Shedeur Sanders, and Dylan Sampson, Berry picked up strong players for the offense.
Shedeur Sanders, after sitting on the bench for most of the season, is finally starting to find some rhythm. Harold Fanin Jr. has steadily with six touchdowns. Judkins showed off his potential against the Dolphins.
Even Browns insider and commentator Mary Kay Cabot agreed. Speaking on The Orange and Brown Talk podcast, she said, “Now, if I had to guess, I would think that Andrew Berry is pretty safe because Jimmy Haslam in March, gave him a mandate that he had to nail the NFL Draft this year. And Andrew did that. He did it with flying colors.”
At the same time, some think Andrew Berry should go out
On the contrary, sports commentator Daryl Ruiter blamed Berry and his draft choices for resulting in a bad season. On the 92.3 The Fan podcast, he maintained that if Stefanski leaves, Berry should too.
“He had a team built to win consistently and ruined it. Why does he get the opportunity to continue? He put together the worst WR room in the NFL, the OL is in shambles,” he said.
The direction in which the Browns have gone this season has confused everyone. While some experts applaud Berry, others want him gone.
