Fans Call Out Cleveland Media Over Shedeur Sanders Treatment

Shedeur Sanders' journey in the NFL has not been without its fair share of controversies. Presently, in fact, Shedeur is navigating one with the Cleveland Browns. According to insider Mary Kay Cabot's report, Shedeur is set to play second fiddle to returning QB Deshaun Watson.

The moment that news became public, it didn't go down well with Shedeur's brother, Shilo. The Safety then retaliated by making a sexist remark towards Cabot, which said, "Make me a sandwich, Mary." This prompted Cleveland insider Aaron Goldhammer to say this:

"It would serve Shedeur well to tell his dad and his brothers, to tell them to stay out of this," said Goldhammer.

Ever since Shedeur transitioned over to the NFL, he has been under the microscope. From his surprising draft slide to his QB battle with Deshaun Watson. Questions around his family legacy with his father being former NFL player Deion Sanders, and criticism from the media.

This time, it's again come in the form of a subtle jab from a Cleveland insider. Naturally, the fans did not take this too kindly.

Fans blast Goldhammer over insensitive remarks

The Cleveland fans couldn't keep quiet. Aaron Goldhammer's comment seemed to have touched a nerve, and the fans came down hard on Cleveland's media.

"Cleveland has the WORST media Ever! I have never seen anything like this before. Y’all keep up so much MESS and FALSE Narratives!," said a livid fan.

The fan didn't take kindly on how the media targeted Shedeur even though he had nothing to do with it. On the contrary, he shared a powerful post when all this turbulence was happening around him.

"I see more and more why so many former Cleveland players have a distaste for Cleveland media smh," added another.

Odell Beckham Jr. alluded to how his time in Cleveland focused more on creating storylines, how it would intensify things and cause friction.

“It will serve all of us, especially the fans, if many Cleveland “reporters” would stop lying, creating narratives, & undermining players. The blessing is that most folks know that most Cleveland “reporters” are not to be trusted…which is a good thing for the entire fanbase," seconded another

Even Baker Mayfield had stated the same about drama-stirring and creating individual narratives. This happened after a disappointing 2021 season; Mayfield responded directly on social media to reports suggesting he would seek a trade and that there were issues between him and coach Kevin Stefanski.

The fans are visibly not pleased with how the Cleveland media is handling things. They have shown their distaste for the matter. Now it remains to be seen how the media chooses to tread further regarding Shedeur Sanders.
