Ex-Steelers Star Sets Expectation Straight for Denzel Boston’s 2026 Campaign

Denzel Boston joined the Cleveland Browns this year as the 39th overall pick. Ever since he came on, he has been looked upon as a great prospect. The WR has now got some praise from NFL player Breiden Fehoko.

Recently, BrownsNation.com shared a tweet where Fehoko complimented the young WR. Fehoko, a former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle, praised Boston's strong hands at the point of contact.

"When I look at Denzel Boston, I look at a kid who catches with his hands. I love receivers who catch with their hands... You look at any great receiver, Randy Moss, Michael Irvin, Jerry Rice, they'll all tell you, 'Body catching is a sin. Catch it with your hands,' said Fehoko.

Fehoko believes that Boston's receiving skills could be used in a way similar to Justin Jefferson's West Coast offensive scheme at Minnesota. Jefferson was a featured receiver in a West Coast offense that emphasized precise routes and play-action passing.

Fehoko also talked about Boston's route-running skills, calling it "underrated." He criticized people for comparing Boston to Keon Coleman, observing that the WR hadn't been playing in a system where he could thrive.

The former Browns player pointed out that the NFL systems, unlike college football, are "under center, longer developing routes. The protection can hold up."

According to Fehoko, Monken is going to get under-center formations that will help Boston. He would then be able to exploit intermediate and perimeter routes, similar to Jefferson’s usage in Minnesota.

The 6'4" 212 lbs player has a true receiver profile. In fact, people are looking forward to Boston's pairing with KC Concepcion so much so that Matt Harmon of Reception Perception gives them high praise.

NFL Receiver Analyst Speaks Highly of Boston-Concepcion Pairing

Denzel Boston is good, but imagine what he can do with KC Concepcion. According to Matt Harmon, the duo fits so well together that they elevate each other's games with their versatility.

Both players are dynamic receivers with unique styles of their own. Concepcion is a movement-based receiver with explosive ability with the ball in his hands. Boston, on the other hand, is like Justin Jefferson being the more sure-handed receiver.

It seems this Browns pairing is "as dangerous as it gets," according to Harmon. Cleveland struggled badly last year with receptions, yards, and TDs. Boston has a career total of 132 receptions and 1781 yds, while Concepcion has 61 receptions and 919 yds.

Together, they are the key to Todd Monken's team. They provide him with reliable perimeter playmakers who can attack defenses in different ways. Analysts compare Concepcion to the Baltimore Ravens' Zay Flowers. Boston was graded as a Day 2 steal.

Both rookies will start immediately under Monken. As such, every Cleveland fan will have high hopes for them.

It will be interesting to see which QB they are paired up with: Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders.
