Ex-Browns CB Joe Haden Makes Bold Super Bowl Claim Ahead of 2026 Season
The Browns have won four NFL championships, but they are still searching for their first Super Bowl title. Former cornerback Joe Haden believes a Cleveland Browns Super Bowl trip is coming soon, citing the team's new stadium and roster depth as reasons for optimism.
Speaking on the Deebo and Joe podcast on Tuesday, Haden said a Browns trip to the Super Bowl is not as far-fetched as some might think, even if he is not predicting it this season.
“That’s something that’s not too crazy, the Browns going to the Super Bowl,” said Haden. “Saying this season, that would be crazy. But in the near future, I could see it, especially with the new stadium. We’re getting talent, just keep watching.”
Haden also stated that he believes the Browns have continued to improve over time, adding that he sees them capable of winning at least eight or nine games.

Haden credited the Browns' front office, led by GM Andrew Berry, for continuing to add young talent to the roster. Cleveland's 2026 draft class reinforces his belief in the team's upward trajectory.
Haden noted the Browns are rebuilding to compete more effectively under new head coach Todd Monken.
The defense will continue to rely on DE Myles Garrett while Mike Rutenberg takes over as the defensive coordinator.
Having spent seven seasons with the Browns, Haden is confident that the Browns’ new project, the $2.4B domed stadium in Brook Park, will also pave the way for better infrastructure.
Ernesto Cova of the Dawg Pound Daily wrote that the Browns continue to struggle at the most important position on the roster, specifically at the quarterback position.
Cova concluded by saying that if the QB position is solved, the Browns are well on their way to becoming a strong contender and might be “one piece away” in ending the drought of a Super Bowl win.
Joe Haden Tries to Make Sense of the Browns QB1 Battle
The national spotlight remains fixed on the quarterback battle between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders.
Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green also remain in the mix after Monken recently declared the competition wide open.
Joe Haden weighed in on the conversation during his appearance on The Up & Adams show on May 6.
Haden shared that while Watson hasn’t been good with the Browns, the team is leaning towards him because of their investment in him. He felt that Sanders must get an opportunity because he showed enough promising signs as a rookie.
Haden praised Monken for speaking highly of the QBs and fostering an environment of true competition. He concluded by saying that if this competition is valid, he wants Sanders to win the QB1 spot.
