ESPN Outline Major Moves That Could Fix Browns' Broken O-Line
One of the big reasons the Browns failed this season was that their offensive line was very poor. They allowed the 7th most sacks this season, 51.
The numbers were as bad as allowing 6 sacks in a single game against the Bengals. The OL is so bad that ESPN had to step in. Here are three moves that they want the Browns to make to have a decent OL in 2026.
Keep Joel Bitonio
Joel Bitonio has played 12 seasons for the Browns and has tons of experience. He has had 16 solo tackles, 1 assist, and 4 fumble recoveries. In the 2025 season as well, he allowed just 1 penalty, 2 sacks, 1 hit, and 31 total pressures.
Having him in the team bring expereicne and peformance but rumors have it that he is considering retirement. The Browns and Bitonio agreed to push back the void date on his current contract until the end of the 2025-26 NFL league year in March 2026.
Bring in Packers OT Rasheed Walker
The Green Bay Packers drafted Rasheed Walker in the 7th round of the 2022 NFL Draft (No. 249 overall) on a standard 4-year rookie deal. This means that he is going to be a free agent in the 2026 season, and ESPN wants the Browns to get him.
He allowed 9 penalties, 5 sacks, 1 hit, and 34 total pressures, with all 986 snaps coming at left tackle. The Packers may not let the 26-year-old leave easily, but if he does come to the Browns, the OL can potentially finally pose a danger to the opponents.
Trade with the Jaguars for OT Walker Little
Walker Little signed a three-year extension with Jacksonville on December 1, 2024, that runs through the 2027 season. The Browns would have to give up something.
ESPN suggests that the Browns give up a 2026 5th round pick and receive a 2027 7th round selection along with Walker Little. In the 2025 regular season, he allowed 10 penalties, 9 sacks, 6 hits, and 47 total pressures.
Wypler and Zinter could step in at center and right guard, but Pocic, Teller, or Jenkins might still re-sign. If the team adds two starting tackles before the 2026 draft, it would give them a lot more flexibility.
