The Cleveland Browns' rookie class started immediately after the OTAs opened, and one young defender has already generated strong reviews. After signing a four-year contract, this round-2 pick safety is already proving to be one of the biggest steals of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Emmanuel McNeil Warren, who signed a four-year deal worth around $8 million, has turned out to be one of the most impressive rookies during Cleveland's offseason program. Now, one NFL reporter has spoken about his immediate impact.

"McNeil-Warren looks the part, and he arrived with a reputation for being a disruptor," said Zac Jackson of 'The Athletic. "Mike Rutenberg has veterans Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman atop the depth chart, but as the browns continue to install and tinker, they'll eventually take advantage of McNeil Warren's range and physicality."

The Browns are looking for more playmakers in the secondary, and McNeil-Warren's arrival could help fulfill that need. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 201 pounds, he brings both size and range to defense that already features players like Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman.

Over the last three seasons, McNeil-Warren has recorded five interceptions, nine forced fumbles, 214 total tackles, and 11 tackles for loss.

While the training camp will come with bigger tests, the early signs are encouraging. If he continues stacking productive practices, he could push for defensive snaps as a rookie and make the Browns defense stronger.

Several members of the Browns' 2026 draft class have been drawing attention, and joining McNeil-Warren is Denzel Boston.

Wide Receiver Denzel Boston Adding To Browns Rookie Momentum

Another rookie making headlines is the wide receiver Denzel Boston. The former Washington standout has given highlight-reel catches during OTA sessions.

Boston delivered a touchdown grab against veteran defenders in seven-on-seven drills, grabbing the attention of Cleveland's head coach, Todd Monken.

"That was awesome, wasn't it? Wasn't that cool?" Monken told ESPN reporters. "You get a draft pick, and it's on one of the most talented guys in the league. So, it's encouraging, right?"

Monken appreciated the play and pointed to the importance of seeing young draft picks produce against established NFL talent.

With Cleveland looking to improve its receiving corps, which struggled for consistency last season, Boston and KC Concepcion (WR) can play an important role sooner. The Browns may have landed multiple draft-day steals in the same rookie class.
